Located beween Boone and Blowing Rock, North Carolina, this 200 acre resort, bordered on three sides by Moses Cone Memorial National Park, boasts splendid views of nearby mountain ranges and lush green valleys.
For decades, Yonahlossee (Cherokee for "Trail of the Bear") was a popular girls camp known throughout the Southeast. Strict attention has been given to preserving the natural mountain environment with homes and amenities carefully arranged amongst rhododendron, towering pines and native plants.

Matching the beauty of this property is the high caliber of amenities. The racquet club, one of the finest tennis resorts in the country, includes six outdoor clay courts with large viewing decks on each court. The clubhouse contains a full service pro shop along with a lounge with a very unique mountain flavor. Winter and inclement weather sends players indoors to three Deco-Turf courts with a large climate controlled viewing area, locker rooms and workout room with treadmills, weight machine and other fitness equipment. Tennis players from Florida and the Southeast converge to play in the cool summer air at Yonahlossee. You've not played Tennis if you haven't played Tennis at Yonahlossee!
In addition to tennis, Yonahlossee caters to the horseback enthusiast with nearby Celtic Stables and the Blowing Rock Stables. A 75-foot enclosed swimming pool rounds out the fitness experience at the resort. Yonahlossee's amenities, together with local skiing, golf and hiking truly make it a four-season destination.
Adjacent to the resort, The Gamekeeper Restaurant features fine dining in an elegant, rustic atmosphere and is sure to please with its unique rock facade, rustic interior design and variety of wild game and other dinner entrees. Across the road, Sirius Restaurant at Crestwood offers spectacular sights of Grandfather Mountain while dining or visiting the bar for cocktails and appetizers.

Our rental house is located within historic Yonahlossee Resort, a four-season resort located adjacent to both Boone and Blowing Rock, North Carolina, in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Facilities at Yonahlossee include:
- Six outdoor Har-Tru composition clay courts (open May through October)
- Three indoor "Deco-turf" tennis courts (open throughout the year)
- An indoor junior Olympic size heated swimming pool with ping pong table
- A newly remodeled fitness center with Precor elliptical trainers, treadmills, statinary bicycles, free weights and a Universal Gym. The workout facility is located in the indoor tennis building and has a secure entrance.
- A game room with billiard table
There are also numerous off-site activities to enjoy in the area such as snow skiing, fly-fishing, golf, whitewater rafting, rock and mountain climbing and cycling.
Yonahlossee offers tennis programs with something for players of all ages and levels. Bob Lake, director of tennis, holds weekly tennis lessons, clinics and leagues for adults as well as children. Yonahlossee also hosts a USTA sanctioned Senior Tournament in late July.
